PORTFOLIO

Original Music

We make music for films, theater, podcasts, installations, and more. We also work with local New York City musicians on production and arrangements. Contact us for unreleased tracks, licensing, instrumentals, and commissions.

Hear original music from Leftpop on Bandcamp (for now). We’re actively seeking new solutions in the technology space for artist-owned music distribution.

Podcasting

Producing, designing and editing top-notch podcasts has been a focus since our launch. Check out a sampling of the episodes that we’ve been involved with. Give a follow to these outstanding creators to keep up with new episodes! Contact us to find out how we can help your show level up.

Sound Design

Selected Press:

“Harrison Adams’ sound design, redolent with the seaside murmur of waves and birds all contribute to giving life to Mr. Sessa’s vision.” -Joel Benjamin, reviewing "Body of Words"

“...neither Tolkien nor Doctorow had the recorded, creepily authoritarian voice of Tracy Letts filling us in on the earth-cracking narrative so far, like a Hollywood narrator gone to hell.”
-Chris Jones, Chicago Tribune

“Made me sit up high in my seat like a prairie dog and look around the house to see if anyone else in the audience was as excited as I to finally hear a successful aural rendition of the stage direction that reads: ‘Coming as if out of the sky, like the sound of a string snapping, slowly and sadly dying away.’” -J.H. Palmer, Chicago Theater Beat

”Allen’s production is well supported by….Harrison Adams and Kevin O’Donnell’s co-designed sound and original music..Houdini once said of magic that what the eyes see and the ears hear the mind believes.”
-Colin Douglas, Chicago Theatre Review

Data Sonification

Wingbeats Disappearing in Air is a composition exploring the decline of flying insect populations, an invisible ecological catastrophe. Real data on insect populations from nature preserves in Germany, collected over thirty years, is incorporated in a sonification process involving modular synthesis and a custom Max/MSP software patch. Wingbeats had its premiere performance on March 2nd, 2020 in NYU’s Interactive Arts Performance Series.
